1. Get naked and take a good long look at your body. Trace your stretch marks, feel your hip bones poking out, place your hand over your tummy and take a fistful of yourself in. Appreciate your scars and pimples, your uneven, large,or nonexistent breasts. Take pride in your un/shaven, un/cut, fantastically odd private bits. Hold up a mirror to yourself and study your body. Love it.
2. Be Ugly, reclaim words that are used to put you down and shut you up and scream right back at these fascist beauty standard reinforcing scumbags. Give them the finger and tell them to kiss your fat/skinny/somewhere in between ass ‘cause you ain’t got time to waste with their body hating bullshit. and remember, you don’t owe prettiness to anyone. Validate yourself by accepting yourself.
3. Wear clothes that don’t fit, that are too big or too small and show all your “problem areas” that cosmo insists you hide and walk down the street like the fucking fabulous queen you are. Sashay the hate away.
4. Do what YOU want with YOUR body. Shave or don’t, wear makeup or don’t, whatever choice you make is yours to make, and anyone who shames you for your decision can keep it moving. This also means respecting the choices of others, even if they differ from your own.
5. Surround yourself with loving and supportive people. Rid of the toxic bullshit in your life if possible, and immerse yourself in a community that embraces body positivity and diversity.

The bible tell us when a fetus becomes a living being.
Many people think that a human being is created at the time of conception but this belief is not supported by the bible. The fact that a living sperm penetrates a living ovum resulting in the formation of a living fetus does not mean that the fetus is a living human being. According to the bible, a fetus is not a living person with a soul until after drawing its first breath.
After God formed man in Genesis 2:7, He “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and it was then that the man became a living being”. Although the man was fully formed by God in all respects, he was not a living being until after taking his first breath.
(I don’t follow the word of the bible but for those that do..)

#harm: The Butterfly Project
Upon my research for the film, I learned about The Butterfly Project. I know this sounds corny, but I think the idea is beautiful.

The picture is of Isabelle Caro, a French model who died at the age of 28 trying to recover from anorexia. She spent the later years of her life trying to promote health and campaign against anorexia, and wrote a book called, “The Girl Who Refused To Grow Fat”, an autobiography discussing the origins of her disease and her struggles to recover.
Pro-ana blogs need to be banned. It is not wrong to have a disorder, but it is wrong to help others become anorexic or bulimic, when they could otherwise live a normal life. It is normal to be self-conscious about one’s body, but these feelings have started to emerge in girls at a very young age. These girls deserve to enjoy their childhood. There’s no reason they should be so concerned about their bodies to the point of near death.
Promote health by reblogging this. We can help those already with the disease recover and prevent those who are at risk from getting it.
